Danny O’Shea is CEO of Building Information Ireland and leads a hugely experienced team of construction industry professionals with over 40 years’ experience in the sector. Building Information Ireland is Irelands leading provider of research on construction project activity. Danny O’Shea previously co-founded consultancy Link2Plans in 2010, the web based portal for every planning application in Ireland.

Danny was Managing Director of Riverside Manufacturing (Ireland). He holds his Diploma in Computing (1986) and an MBA from DKIT (2006) and has been involved in systems development, management, innovation and online development for the past 25 years.

Building Information Ireland research and publish data on all construction and planning activity in Ireland. Subscribers to the BuildingInfo.ie service have access to 1000’s of well researched and up-to-date information on all on the ground construction activity in every county. As well as publishing via their innovative web portal they are also publishers of the respected Building Information Index which charts activity across all key commercial construction sectors.

 

Methodology:

Building Information Ireland measures the actual (estimated) monetary value of every construction project per sector. The data contained in the Building Information Index is aggregated by Building Information from real time planning and project information. Projects with a value of less than €200k were omitted from this index.
